We Need to Learn How to Fundraise

I seriously think the Liberal Party should take a look at Barack Obama's playbook when it comes to fundraising and copy it as much as possible. Of course there are differences between our campaign finance laws but not so much that it would be impossible.

Over the next little while I'm going to delve in to the fundraising laws to see what I can do to help the party, and I suggest all of you out there who get sick every time you heard the words "Prime Minister Harper" do the same.

Great idea and good for you, to try to help out on this important aspect. I noticed Avaaz raised $100K on the internet within 4 or 5 days in their Stop-Harper campaign.

Couple of links that may provide some ideas, who knows: here and here.

A few days after the election, I started a monthly donation on my credit card. It's a tax deduction, so why not? Either this or I spend it on pizza and beer.

Be Careful Goldie, my mom's an accountant and she says you only get to take it off your taxes if you end up owing. But I'm not %100 sure. If you usually don't get a refund disregard.

Thanks to all of you for the info, and yeah I know about ActBlue gene, that's the holy grail. If we could get something like that going in Canada (although it'd have to be ActRed) it'd be awesome. Give the Liberals the money they need to fight back against the lies and smears of the Conservative Alliance.
